lesley: huh? i only went once! on wednesday.. u know i wrote one entry at 4am.. and i said i was going for chem in three hours? then i wrote again at 11pm saying i WENT for chem.. haha yesyes.. YES! sign the guestbook more often! oh yarhh.. whats ur postscript?
another boring day.. can feel the first pangs of pms. hope it stays a slight pang and not an overwhelming force that sends me over the edge of sanity. yes.. i need to keep my mind sound. after all.. i have to study! the mood swings kept me irritable most of the day so i spent quite a portion of it sleeping. managed to squeeze in one chap of social studies and couple of questions of amath. realised im awful at integration of areas. so far i think i've only gotten TWO questions right since i learnt that topic.
gonna try and blog less chunky stuff. its not blog-like according to ta. hmm blog-like. i wonder.
hmm.. jay chou's my best study partner :D
yes.. here's a good tip.
if you need music but yet you want 100% concentration for studying (note the irony..), listen to chinese songs. or korean or jap or whatever.. err french? yes anything as long as its not in a language you favour or you're strong in? why? because when you listen to songs that you actually understand.. while you're studying, the lyrics will continually interrupt your train of thoughts. believe me. especially if its a song you like. you'll subconsciously stop and sing your favourite song or whatever. but if its a chinese/korean/jap song that you like.. you're just appreciating the music as an accompaniment as an aid to tick your mind with not much clue or awareness of what they're actually singing. REALLY! trust me!
and speaking of such songs.. i think listening to such songs helps me appreciate melodies of songs better. i dunno. for english songs, the lyrics are pretty important to me. i can like a song for its lyrics even if it has a mediocre (to me that is..) melody. and if a song has a great melody but nasty lyrics, it puts me off quite abit. so listening to korean/jap/chinese songs actually heighten my awareness and appreciation of melodies.
and PLUS..PLUS.. nowadays everyone seems so angmoh-ified. yeah.. you know.. when i was couple of years younger i would totally diss chinese songs and listen purely to english songs because it was 'cool' and stuff. and you know how most people go through a stage in their lives of wanting to be the white race? but well.. honestly, now i like being chinese. i'm really proud to be chinese. and i'm starting to appreciate the langauge so much better.
hmm i think everyone should be proud of their own race. that's who we are.. that's what we're born to be. and.. i'm getting veryvery out of my depth here.. but yes. haha.. my blog has no sense of proportion or organisation. i drift from topic to topic but ahhwell.. as long as i dont do it for exams. its alright. :D
okaay.. back to the books. i shall do CHEM now :)
