shopping with the elders of the household is like being in a mad hopping race.
walk walk walk dodge other shoppers walk walk walk pause to see where each other is walk walk walk step into shop step out walk walk walk.
waaay too fast for my sloth-like footsteps and slow shopping ways.

so anyway, on saturday..
THE HITCHHIKER'S GUIDE TO THE GALAXY was so so good!
i want to read the book now.

mini picnic feast with laura mich and jame on a bench outside Zara.
sandwiches, pasta salad, chicken steak, sushi and iced tea; i felt very very satisfied after.

Rockage with jae sammio and va, where we expected aircon and chairs.
but no, we had natural breeze(?) and grass.
which was fine by me because i have absolutely no qualms about sitting down on the grass.
and the view by the waterfront was really pretty and during the concert i kept having these huge urges to go cycling.
so Rockage was actually pretty good until this long haired heavy metal band came on and blasted err.. well music.
i. thought. my. head. was. going. to. explode.
and they played song
after song
after song
after song..
so, we left :)

mahjong at va's after!
but, ladyluck wasn't smiling down on me :(
i was the SOLE, SINGLE, ONLY loser of the night.
i lost 13 symbolic dollars..
and i thought i was the mahjong queen..
i blame it on the stupid fan.
it blew all my luck away.

and on the way to town yesterday, i had the strangest most intimidating cab driver of my life.
he drove speeedily with his back all hunched (not weakly, but aggressively) and wouldn't stop bellowing.
like SO WHERE DO YOU WANNA GO? WHICH WAY DO YOU WANT TO GO BY?
hmm. and also..
cabbie: school holidays now eh?
me: errm yes.
cabbie: not going overseas for holiday?
me: oh no, i have to study.
cabbie: ahh! STUDY! what year are you in?
me: JC2.
cabbie: YOU? JC2?
me: erm yes.
cabbie: YOUU?! JC2??!
me: erm yes!
cabbie: YOU LOOK MORE LIKE SECONDARY SCHOOL TO ME!
me: erm okay. thanks uncle.

and after that..

cabbie: so, how old do you think i am? i bet you'll never guess.
me: err.. 56?
cabbie: HAAHAHAHHAAHHAHAH!
me: oh erm.. i'm wrong?
cabbie: hahahah! some people have guessed 60! 60 over!
me: oh so how old are you uncle?
cabbie: hahahha! I AM 45!!
me: oh err.. sorry uncle.

lately i've been meeting the strangest cab drivers.
like the one the other day who was talking to me about boys and marriage and the things women do and how i am very traditional.
like HOKAAY.
not that i mind him talking to me but i didn't like the way he was constantly assessing and judging me, i mean i'm only a passenger!
and after that when jamie tried to interject her own opinion he suddenly shouted, "I'M TALKING TO HER! WAIT FOR YOUR TURN!"
i was very. very. shocked.

and its now sunday.
this marks the end of 1 week of the june holidays.
i think now is the time to zap out unnecessary thoughts and concentrate on the necessary.
the unnecessary has been infiltrating my mind more often than necessary.
but then again, what is necessary?

i hope my parents come home soon.
i think i have too much time on my hands because i spend too much time by myself.
