HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHERYL MAYMAY WONG!
from a cocooned caterpillar, you have grown into a beautiful 19 year old butterfly! hope you had a great 19th and when are we gonna lunch, you daisycow? I MISS YOU and those good ol' squash days :)
today was leslie's birthday and al's birthday is tomorrow.
mini commotion again when they threw leslie head in (!!) first into the dustbin, i felt quite sorry for him.
but then he looked really cute lying in there posing with a smile and a middle finger.
and leslie was clever enough to tackle poor al who was sitting there, so al ended up in the dustbin too.
candice and i are two stressed captains.
so we hung out in the music centre ladies room to destress by laughing insanely.
candice is really pure laughing gas.
she says the unfunniest things, MAKES ME say the unfunniest things, but then they seem so funny.
like today, when we were hanging out in the washroom and i wanted her to go to cubicle no.1 to 'check it out'.
and she 'checked it out' and found that it was full of floating tissue paper and shit.
candice: shumin, you know you really shouldn't do things like that. you shouldn't make people see what you saw. you shouldn't make people suffer what you suffered. you are like an e4 (war literature)! you know, combatant versus civilian? i'm the civilian and you're the combatant? you don't have to make me see the ENEMY! ARGGGGGGGGGH!
candice: shumin, are you going for satay night?
me: yeah probably cause i'm having training. i'm not that keen on satay though. what else will they be having?
candice: ketupat?
(a long pause)
me: is ketupat potato?
candice: NO! it's rice!
me: oh ya. ketupat is rice. samosa is potato. i always mix them up.
candice: WHY?! samosa is a triangle and ketupat is a rectangle. don't you think samosa sounds like a triangle?
me: no?
candice: yeah it does! you know.. like samosa triangle, bermuda triangle??
me: CANDICE! NO!
candice: okay that doesn't really make sense but a samosa is still like a triangle! like you know how a fishball sounds like a circle?
me: THAT'S BECAUSE OF THE WORD BALL!!!!!
a few minutes later..
me: candice, what other things sound like their shapes?
candice: err.. let me think.
me: what about egg?
candice: oh yeah, an egg sounds oval.
me: what else is oval?
candice: i can't really think of anything else that is oval. an egg is special.
me: is it? what else is oval?
(LONG PAUSE)
candice&me in unison: OVALTINE!!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!
me: (musing) you know something? why don't they sell ovaltine in oval tins? (freezes for a moment) OMG! I PUNNED! ovaltine in oval tins!
candice: err.. i thought you MEANT to pun.
me: nonono! NO PUN INTENDED, don't you think they should sell ovaltine in oval tins? hahahaha!
candice: errr..
me: drink Milo when you're at your low.
candice: err..
me: drink coffee when you cough and pay your fees!
candice: what about teh ping?
me: but teh isn't a word!
candice: but what about teh ping?
me: but teh isn't a word! hmm how about err find leslie TAY when you're cold?
candice: HUH?! BUT WHAT ABOUT TEH PING?
me: BUT TEH ISN'T A WORD AND NEITHER IS PING!!!!!
a few minutes later..
me: i think we should get out here. it's stuffy and making us crazy.
candice: okay let's go.
so that concludes our very insane stressed conversation that we shared in our little hideout: the washroom at the music centre.
and after that we spent many clueless moments taking idiotic photos of ourselves and sending them to each other via infrared.
talk about cheap thrill.
so now i have a whole bunch of photos of candice and i looking MUCH less than beautiful.
i love my cubicle1combatant candice kang :)
mega retards.
i think these little insane moments have flushed out all remnants of anger/irritation/frustration/sadness i feel.
sometimes, there's no point letting it all fester within you.
of course they do come unbidden, but while they don't, keep them out.
at least i'm trying to.
because even though life doesn't seem too peachy at times, when i take a step back and step back in to live it, it's not all that bad.
time will heal all wounds :)
